Science: Dante's Peak

1. Dante's Peak, Washington, is located in the northern Cascade Mountains.

2. Harry Dalton is a volcanologist sent to Dante's Peak to check on Mount St. Helens.

3. When Harry is sent there, he finds out that Dante's Peak is still very active.

4. Dante's Peak was the 2nd most desireable city to live in in the United States.

5. Rachel Wando is the mayor of Dante's Peak.

6. The lava in the hot spring doesn't mean the volcano is active.

7. Volcanic eruptions are not predictable.

8. Rachel and her kids accompany Harry to the mountain's "high lake" to check the water’s acidity.

9. After checking the acidity and picking up Rachel's ex-mother in law, they head to the town's hot springs where they find to dead bodies. (And dead squirrels haha)

10. Harry calls a town meeting to discuss putting the town on alert during which Dalton's boss, Dr. Paul Dreyfus, decides against the alert.
